Here it is: the winter tour. Twelve cities, two continents, one van and a borrowed ferry timetable. We start at home and we finish further from home than we have ever played.

The dates

  • 07 Nov — Glasgow, Barrow Hall (album launch, sold out)
  • 09 Nov — Edinburgh, The Leith Assembly
  • 12 Nov — Manchester, Albert Mill
  • 14 Nov — London, The Canal Rooms
  • 18 Nov — Dublin, Liffey Ballroom
  • 21 Nov — Amsterdam, Het Veem
  • 23 Nov — Berlin, Spreehalle (moved to a bigger room)
  • 26 Nov — Paris, La Péniche Rouge
  • 04 Feb — New York, Harbor Street Hall
  • 06 Feb — Toronto, The Lakeshore
  • 09 Feb — Chicago, Riverwest Room
  • 12 Feb — Los Angeles, The Palms Theater

Glasgow sold out in an afternoon, which we are still not quite over. Thank you. Berlin went the same way so fast that the promoter moved us to a bigger room; if you were on the waitlist, you will hear from us before anyone else does. Edinburgh, London and Los Angeles are close behind.

Support

Our friends Saltmarsh join us in Edinburgh and Manchester. If you have not heard them yet, get there early: they are a three-piece from Fife who play quieter than anyone we know and somehow fill the room anyway. More support acts for Europe and North America soon.

The new songs, the old songs

The set is built around Harbour Lights, played the way we recorded it: four of us facing each other, no click, the room in the sound. The old ones are in there too. "First Crossing" is back after three years, because a lot of you asked, and because Ama finally remembered the bass part.

How the Ferry Club pre-sale works

Club members get every pre-sale 48 hours before general sale. The code comes in the club letter the evening before; it works for up to four tickets per person, per show, and it is the same code for every city. If you are not in the club yet, joining is free and takes one e-mail address. We send one letter a month, sometimes two when there is news, never more.

For the first time we are also playing the US and Canada. New York is our first American show ever, which is a strange and very good sentence to type. If you have family in Brooklyn, tell them.

Tickets are on the tour page, with the links to each venue. See you on the last ferry.
